Samuel Bronfman II has over 25 years of experience in the wine industry, having held a variety of senior executive positions.   Mr. Bronfman has been responsible for the development and operation of leading premium wine companies at Joseph E. Seagram and Sons and is regarded as an innovator and leader in the US wine industry.

From 2001-2003, Mr. Bronfman served as Chairman of Diageo Global Wines.   During that time, Mr. Bronfman consulted on the company's acquisition strategy and advised Diageo on its US wine-based businesses, which included the former Seagram Chateau and Estate Wines and Beaulieu Vineyards.

From 1996 to 2001, Mr. Bronfman was President of Seagram Chateau and Estate Wines, a premier producer, importer and distributor of wine.  The company's portfolio of owned wines included Sterling Vineyards, Mumm Champagne, Mumm Napa, Barton & Guestier and Perrier Jouet. As an importer, Chateau and Estate Wines imported approximately 25% of all classified growth Bordeaux wines from France, including wines from all of the First Growth wines, as well as Trimbach, the leading Alsatian wine brand in the U.S., and many other wines from France's premier wine growing regions, Burgundy, Rhone, Chablis, and Loire.   During this period, the company launched Brancott Vineyards, which became the leading imported New Zealand wine, and marketed the company owned Sandeman Ports, the leading selling port in the U.S., and Sherries.  Seagram Chateau and Estate Wines revenues reached $300 million under Bronfman's leadership.

Mr. Bronfman began his career at Seagram, in the marketing department of Paul Masson Vineyards and went on to hold a series of roles at Seagram, including Executive Vice President of Sales of the Seagram Wine Company and President of Seagram Classics Wine Company, which was focused on developing primarily, but not exclusively, company owned premium wine brands based in Europe and California.   In 1996, Mr. Bronfman was appointed President of Seagram Chateau and Estate Wines.   Subsequently, Mr. Bronfman was named Chairman of Seagram Beverage Company, a unit which produced and marketed Seagram Coolers and Seagram Mixers, with annual sales in excess of $200 million.  Mr. Bronfman was also a Director of The Seagram Company Ltd.  In addition, Mr. Bronfman was Chairman of the Public Policy Committee of the California Wine Institute for 4 years and served as the Chairman of the full organization in 1999-2000.

Mr. Bronfman holds key positions in leading non-profit organizations.  He is currently the Chair of the Board of the Northern California Cancer Center, Trustee of Deerfield Academy and of Charles Armstrong School.   Mr. Bronfman is a past Board Member and Chair of the Phillips Brooks School, former President of the Samuel Bronfman Foundation, former board member of The Contemporary Jewish Museum, Youth Tennis Association, Menlo School and Former Vice Chair of the Stanford University Hospital Board. He is also a Founder of the Community Breast Health Project, and a Founder and Chair of many years of the Anti-Defamation League of B'nai Brith's Annual Wine and Spirits Dinner for the Pacific Region.

Mr. Bronfman graduated from Williams College in 1975 where he was an editor of the Williams Record and earned varsity letters in tennis and basketball.
